Neuheiten expoSE 18 Neues Fungizid Kenja gegen Botrytis in Erdbeeren / New fungicide Kenja treats botrytis in strawberries Das Fungizid Kenja (Belchim Crop Protection) ist seit März 2020 am Markt. Es kann gegen Botrytis in Erdbeeren und Weinreben, sowie Sclerotinia und Botrytis an Salaten, Spinat und frischen Kräutern eingesetzt werden. Kenja enthält den Wirkstoff Isofetamid, der zur chemischen Gruppe der Thiophenamide zählt (SDHI Fungizid: Succinat-dehydrogenase-Inhibitor). Der Wirkstoff greift in die Atmungskette der pilzlichen Schaderreger am sogenannten Komplex II ein und unterbricht die Energiegewinnung. Das Fungizid wird von den Blättern der behandelten Pflanze aufgenommen und verteilt sich translaminar, d.h. auch unbehandeltes Pflanzengewebe wird vor Infektionen geschützt. Kenja hat eine Wartezeit von einen Tag und eine Halbwertszeit von 37,5 Tagen im Boden. Laut Hersteller zeigt sich das Fungizid auch wirksam gegen resistente Stämme durch flexible Bindungsgruppe, ein gutes Rückstandsverhalten und eine Nebenwirkung auf Echte Mehltaupilze. Kenja is a fungicide designed to treat botrytis in strawberries and vineyards, as well as sclerotinia and botrytis on lettuce, spinach and fresh herbs. Kenja contains the active ingredient isofetamid, which is in the chemical group of thiophenamide (SDHI fungicide: succinat dehydrogenase inhibitor). The active ingredient interferes with the respiratory chain of the harmful fungus at the so-called complex II, interrupting energy production. Kenja is absorbed by the leaves of treated plants and is distributed in a translaminar fashion, meaning even untreated plant tissues are protected against infection. Kenja has a waiting time of one day, and a half-life of 37.5 days in the soil. According to the manu- facturer, the fungicide is also effective against resistant strains thanks to a flexible bonding group, good residue behaviour and a secondary effect fighting powdery mildew.
